Asplundh Electrical Testing is seeking a skilled technician in Easton, PA, to lead protective relay testing for utility substations. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience and a strong understanding of safety procedures and medium- to high-voltage systems. Responsibilities include mentoring technicians, supporting outage planning, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in protective relaying for utility substations.
• Demonstrated experience testing medium- to high-voltage (5kV–500kV) protection systems.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Lead job briefings and safety tailboards.
• Perform protective relay testing, calibration, troubleshooting.
• Create and maintain accurate test reports.

Skills

Protective relaying experience

Testing medium- to high-voltage systems

Microprocessor-based relays knowledge

Experience with relay test platforms

Understanding utility safety rules

Ability to interpret protection diagrams

Education

NETA Level III or IV Certification

Technical degree or military electrical training

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
