Job summary

Exelon is seeking a Relay Engineer to design protection schemes for substations, including transformers, capacitor banks, buses, and transmission lines. You will lead multi-discipline teams, coordinate databases, and contribute to industry committees while delivering high-impact engineering projects.

Responsibilities include mentoring staff, developing commissioning plans, and providing expert input to management. Occasional extended hours during storms or energy outages may be required.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or PE license.
• 7+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Knowledge of applicable standards, codes and practices.
• Ability to apply advanced engineering principles to complex issues.
• Lead member of a recognized industry committee or equivalent.
• MBA/PM Certification or Graduate degree reduces OJT years.

Responsibilities

• Leads assignments in specialized areas requiring extensive engineering expertise.
• Leads projects with significant financial/operational impact.
• Develops commissioning plans and documentation deliverables.
• Provides technical training and mentorship.
