Job summary

AIG is seeking an Assistant Director, Reinsurance Accounting to lead financial and operational accounting for SEC reinsurance reporting, disclosures, and close for U.S. insurance entities.

The role reports to the Director, Reinsurance Reporting and oversees a small team, partnering with Legal, Treasury, Actuarial and Controllership to ensure accuracy, strong controls and timely regulatory deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• CPA designation is preferred.
• Experience leading teams in a public P&C insurer controller capacity.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial and operational accounting for SEC reinsurance reporting and disclosures.
• Oversee collateral management and reporting to third party reinsurers.
• Deliver Reinsurance regulatory reporting under Schedule F for U.S. insurers.
• Identify and respond to complex or unpredictable transactions in close.
• Own intercompany reinsurance GL accounts globally and resolve breaks.
• Support external and internal audits.
