Job summary

AIG PC Global Services, Inc. seeks a Senior Manager, Reinsurance Accounting in Wilton, CT or Parsippany, NJ. The role leads the accounting and controls for complex external reinsurance programs across multiple years, supported by offshore resources.

It requires deep reinsurance accounting knowledge and strong leadership in a global environment. Responsibilities include billing recoveries, computing ceding commissions, and preparing senior leadership summaries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA preferred.
• 7+ years of relevant experience, including leading teams in a controller role for a public P&C insurer.
• Strong knowledge of reinsurance operations, accounting, finance and related processes; professional designation a plus (ARe, CPCU).
• Solid understanding of balance sheet and income statement inter-relationships and ability to analyze results.
• Experience leveraging onshore and offshore resources to optimize productivity across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Timely identification and billing of eligible XOL recoveries.
• Calculation and accounting for ceding commissions.
• Coordinate with Reinsurance Collection on statements of account to brokers.
• Prepare program summaries for leadership review.
• Provide analytical insight into period activity.
• Oversee global catastrophe reinsurance accounting across contract years and ensure timely settlements.
• Account for cash calls, reinstatement premiums, and retrospective contracts.
• Oversee Travel Reinsurance activity and liaise with treasury.
• Support audits with external and internal auditors.
