Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services is seeking a Rehab Therapy Tech IV at Terrell State Hospital to support a comprehensive rehabilitative program. You will develop, implement, and supervise therapy activities while guiding other staff and ensuring patient safety and progress across daily activities.

The role requires two years’ relevant experience, a valid Texas driver license, CPR certification, and willingness to work day shifts in a non-telework environment.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience working with people who have mental illness or intellectual/developmental disabilities.
• Ability to develop and implement rehabilitative therapy activities.
• Strong documentation and progress-note skills.
• Must have a valid Texas driver license and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and execution of rehabilitation therapy programs.
• Instruct patients in self-care and daily living activities.
• Train new Rehabilitation Technicians and guide staff.
• Operate state vehicle for off-campus trips and maintain driving logs.
• Document patient participation and behaviors in progress notes.
