Job summary

Oliver James Group is seeking an experienced Statistical Reporting Manager to oversee timely preparation, review, and submission of statistical and regulatory reports across commercial insurance lines. You will lead reporting operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory and bureau requirements while upholding data governance and controls.

The role partners with technology, underwriting, claims, finance, and product teams to enhance reporting processes and data quality.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in a commercial Property & Casualty insurance environment focused on statistical and regulatory reporting.
• Strong knowledge of P&C products including workers' compensation, excess and surplus lines, and surety.
• Advanced understanding of regulatory reporting requirements, policies, and compliance obligations.
• Experience with bureau reporting, statistical filings, and state regulatory submissions.
• Familiarity with rating organizations and regulatory bodies; manage reporting inquiries and data requests.
• Translate regulatory requirements into operational procedures, system requirements, and reporting processes.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail when handling complex data sets.
• Experience with data systems, SQL, and reporting tools; data governance and controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead statistical and regulatory reporting activities to regulatory agencies and industry bodies.
• Establish and monitor reporting procedures, controls, and quality assurance for filings.
• Manage reporting workflows and drive process improvements for data integrity.

• Oversee data validation, reconciliation, and audit activities for accuracy.
• Convert regulatory requirements into practical business processes and system enhancements.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve data collection and reporting capabilities.
• Lead, mentor, and develop team members; promote accountability and continuous improvement.
• Support strategic initiatives related to reporting technology and data management.
