Job summary

The Motley Fool, LLC is seeking an Associate General Counsel, Regulatory Products to guide the development and deployment of our products with regulatory rigor. You will partner with Product, Operations, Technology, and Compliance to serve as the primary legal advisor on product offerings and development decisions, ensuring responsible innovation and risk mitigation in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll help integrate legal and compliance considerations from ideation to launch, draft disclosures

Qualifications

• 8+ years of legal experience in-house or at a law firm advising on product development in financial services.
• Deep knowledge of investment management law and securities regulation.
• Experience advising on AI-enabled tools in a regulated environment.
• Strong ability to translate complex law into practical guidance for non-lawyers.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, business-grounded guidance on legal/regulatory implications of new features and product lines.
• Advise on federal/state securities laws and regulations relevant to products and services.
• Draft, review, and facilitate filing of regulatory documents.
• Develop and implement compliance programs for new initiatives.
• Draft disclosures, terms of service, and disclaimers for products and services.
• Partner with cross-functional teams on regulatory implications of features, including AI tools.
• Identify and manage risk in marketing materials and member-facing communications.
• Draft and review agreements relevant to product and operations activities.
• Stay ahead of industry/regulatory trends and educate stakeholders.
