Job summary

DC Department of Health's Office of Health Facilities is seeking a Supervisory Pharmacist to lead regulatory oversight of pharmaceutical operations across the District. The role supervises Pharmacist Inspectors and Health Licensing Specialists, oversees licensing and inspections, and ensures compliance with District and federal laws.

The ideal candidate has a Doctoral degree in Pharmacy, DC pharmacy licensure, and at least one year of professional experience at a higher grade.

Qualifications

Doctoral degree in Pharmacy recognized by ACPE or equivalent.
License to practice pharmacy in DC is required.
Minimum of one year of professional pharmacy experience at next lower grade.

Responsibilities

Oversees pharmaceutical regulation, licensing, inspections, and enforcement actions.
Provides leadership to Pharmacist Inspectors, Pharmaceutical Investigators, and Health Licensing Specialists.
Reviews complex applications and reports for regulatory compliance with District and federal laws.
Develops and updates policies; ensures staff training on new regulations.
Coordinates with federal and District partners on pharmaceutical operations and compliance.
