Job summary

Crypto.com is seeking a Compliance Senior Data Analyst in Chicago to join the Global Regulatory Reporting team. The role focuses on CARF and 1099-DA reporting, building robust SQL data workflows, and automating data preparation processes across cross-functional teams.

Strong Python skills and API/webhook experience are a plus. Ideal candidates will have deep SQL expertise, analytical mindset, and the ability to work independently while collaborating across time zones.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to write efficient SQL queries across large datasets.
• Experience using Python or similar languages for data processing or automation.
• Ability to apply a strategic and structured approach to problem solving.
• Highly organized, with strong attention to detail.
• Exposure to cross-functional projects and intercompany initiatives.
• Exposure to financial services, with regulatory/tax reporting focus a plus.
• Understanding of cryptocurrencies or a strong interest in learning.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation and ongoing execution of CARF and Form 1099-DA reporting requirements, including data extraction, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries and data workflows to identify reportable users, transactions, digital assets, proceeds, cost basis, and other reporting data elements.
• Perform data analysis and validation to assess accuracy, completeness, and consistency of reporting populations.
• Support development and execution of data quality controls and reconciliations, including investigation and remediation of exceptions.
• Partner with Compliance, Tax, Finance, Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into data/system needs.
• Track implementation activities and dependencies across jurisdictions using Jira.
