Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking an Associate General Counsel – Regulatory Affairs and Compliance to provide broad legal support for Vanderbilt Health’s operations. The role focuses on healthcare regulatory compliance, physician relationships, CIN/ACO governance, and quality initiatives across academic medical centers and affiliated entities.

The attorney will work with executive leadership, compliance, and clinical teams to manage legal risk while advancing organizational objectives.

Qualifications

• JD degree from an ABA accredited law school.
• Bar admission in Tennessee must be pursued within 12 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal analysis and counsel on state and federal healthcare regulations (Stark, anti-kickback, False Claims Act).
• Support hospital reporting programs, including MACRA/MIPS and other quality metrics.
• Advise on evolving federal/state regulatory requirements and interpret related statutes/regulations.
• Participate in compliance reviews, internal investigations, and corrective action activities.
