Job summary

Compassus is seeking an Associate General Counsel, Regulatory, to provide strategic legal counsel on healthcare regulatory compliance across our organization. You will partner with executive, operational, clinical, and compliance leaders to mitigate risk while supporting high-quality patient care and business operations.

Under the direction of the Senior Vice President, you will lead regulatory strategy, licensing, and CON activities, monitor changes in federal/state regulations, and develop

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• 6–8 years of legal and healthcare regulatory experience in a law firm or corporate setting.
• State bar admission required.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise corporate, operational, and clinical leaders on regulatory compliance issues affecting patient care, reimbursement, and business operations.
• Lead licensing and Certificate of Need (CON) strategy and processes; monitor changes in federal/state regulations.
• Provide legal support during audits, investigations, and regulatory inquiries; mitigate regulatory risk across the organization.
• Develop policies and education materials related to healthcare regulations and review agreements for regulatory compliance.
