Job summary

Florida Power & Light Company seeks a highly motivated attorney to join its State Regulatory Legal Team. The role offers the opportunity to develop deep expertise in utility regulatory law while supporting one of the nation’s leading electric utilities.

The attorney will work with senior regulatory attorneys on regulatory matters affecting operations, investments, customer programs, rates, and long-term strategy, becoming a trusted in-house advisor and advocate in hearings.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate required.
• 10+ years experience in law.
• Member in Good Standing of State Bar required.

Responsibilities

• Provides legal advice and services on complex issues and assesses the advisability of defending or prosecuting lawsuits.
• Represents the company in litigation, regulatory proceedings, government investigations, and legal transactions.
• Ensures compliance with the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and reports material legal issues to audit and senior management.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
