BMO Financial Group is seeking a regulated compliance professional to support the design, execution, and oversight of regulatory risk programs. The role emphasizes independent risk assessments, testing plans, and cross-functional collaboration with first and second line teams.

The candidate will manage risk-based testing, ensure controls align with evolving regulatory requirements, and communicate findings to senior management.

Qualifications

• Typically minimum of 6 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Recognized CIA certification or equivalent preferred.
• Strong process analysis, risk and control identification, and testing capabilities.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, relationship management and project management skills.
• Strong knowledge of second line and/or business operations & procedures, and activities involving documented practices.
• Skilled knowledge of regulatory/ compliance requirements.

Responsabilités

• Independently conducts risk assessments to identify regulatory, operational, and control risks.
• Develops and executes comprehensive test plans and procedures for outcome and oversight testing.
• Performs and/or challenges monitoring and testing activities to ensure regulatory compliance controls are operating.
• Documents evidence of testing activities to facilitate reperformance and compliance.
• Leads testing engagements and projects; analyzes results and communicates findings to management.
• Advises first line on implementation of solutions aligned to regulatory risk appetite.
