Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation seeks a regulatory accounting professional to support regulatory rate proceedings and filings. Hybrid role based in West Palm Beach with some travel. Requires 5–7 years of quantitative analysis, knowledge of tariffs and rate design, and strong MS Office skills.

You will collaborate with PSCs, OPC, auditors, and internal teams to prepare filings, testimony, and data requests, and contribute to process improvements in regulatory practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting or related field.
• AP, Insight, Data Analytics, and reporting experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• 5–7 years of quantitative/analytical work experience.
• Regulatory experience in the utility sector preferred.
• Knowledge of tariffs, rate design, and regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; Epicor/UI FRx/Business Objects knowledge.
• Self-directed with leadership qualities and initiative.
• Willingness to travel; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of regulatory accounting and analysis for rate proceedings.
• Support tools and analyses used in rate proceeding filings.
• Prepare regulatory filings and petitions before regulatory bodies (e.g., PSC).
• Prepare and sponsor formal written testimony and data requests.
• Prepare rate and revenue analyses, tariffs and rate designs for regulated rates.
• Collaborate with PSCs, OPC, auditors, and external reviewers.
