Job summary

CalOptima is seeking a Program/Policy Analyst Sr in Regulatory Affairs for the Covered California program. The role involves coordinating with state regulators, improving policy infrastructure and ensuring contract compliance with Covered California, DMHC and CMS.

Telework is approved with in-state or in-office presence as required. You will work with executives and legal counsel, analyze regulatory changes, and help manage reporting and interdepartmental collaboration to improve health coverage

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of experience in government/public or government affairs role in health care compliance with direct responsibility for Covered California compliance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain CalOptima Health's relationships with regulatory agencies (Covered California, DMHC, CMS).
• Support, enhance and strengthen policy infrastructure, platform and strategy at the state level.
• Lead coordination, tracking and filing of regular and ad-hoc reporting to Covered California, DMHC and CMS.
• Complete detailed analyses of regulatory changes and their impact on CalOptima Health.
• Lead, support and assist with Regulatory Affairs projects and assignments.
• Interact with executives, management, legal counsel and regulators as needed.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in health services administration, public health, public policy or related field
