Job summary

University of Hawaii System is seeking a Registrar at Leeward Community College to oversee student admission, registration, and the creation and retention of academic records. You will manage the Admissions & Records Office, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with policies, residency determinations, and related services across UH campuses.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a baccalaureate degree in Education and six years of progressively responsible professional experience in Student Services including Admissions & Records, Counseling & Advising and Financial Aid.
• Extensive knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulations governing student admission, registration and records.
• Ability to lead, manage staff, and coordinate across departments and campuses.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee admission of students and registration in credit courses; manage academic records production and retention.
• Direct day-to-day operations of Admissions & Records Office, ensuring coverage, budgets, facilities, and customer service.
• Hire, train, supervise and evaluate staff; coordinate staffing with Student Services leadership.
• Oversee admissions activities, residency determination, and special admission programs in collaboration with UH system and campuses.
• Serve as Residency Officer, review disputes, and provide guidance on residency decisions.
