Qualifications

• Assesses, treats, and cares for patients with breathing disorders.
• Initiates and conducts respiratory therapies; operates required equipment.
• Maintains accurate patient records and documents care and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in respiratory therapeutics and use of non-invasive ventilators and pulmonary diagnostics.
• Maintains accurate and precise documentation.
• Demonstrates analytical reasoning and blends patient care with technical skills.
• Communicates openly with the healthcare team.
• Maintains QC and ABG analyzer proficiency with specimen collection and analysis.
• Maintains regular attendance and compliance with Orlando Health policies.
• Demonstrates knowledge to provide age-appropriate care; supports CPR and ventilatory needs.
• Provides care in non-critical and intermediate units; participates in RRT ladder roles (preceptor/educator).
• Instructs practicum students and mentors clinical trainees.
