InBloom Autism Services in New Britain, CT is seeking a Senior Registered Behavior Technician (Sr. RBT) to implement advanced ABA strategies, supervise junior RBTs, and collaborate with BCBAs/BCaBAs to advance client progress.

You will lead data accuracy, contribute to treatment plan fidelity, deliver one-on-one interventions in home/school/clinic, and participate in ongoing training through our RBT Rise program.

Qualifications

  • RBT certification with a minimum of 2 years of ABA experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
  • Proficiency with data collection software and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and support to junior RBTs and team members.
  • Onboard new technicians and ensure adherence to protocols.
  • Implement BCBAs/BCaBAs plans with high accuracy to support goals.
  • Collect and monitor data, and relay feedback for plan modifications.
  • Deliver one-on-one behavioral interventions in various settings.
  • Maintain open communication with BCBAs, caregivers, and teams.
  • Stay updated on ABA practices and BACB ethics.
  • Complete detailed session notes and report progress to the supervising BCBA.
  • Assist in addressing challenging behaviors and crises per safety protocols.

Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance, modeling, and support to junior RBTs and other team members.
  • Assist in onboarding new technicians and ensure adherence to treatment protocols.
  • Implement behavior plans designed by BCBAs/BCaBAs with high accuracy, supporting clients in achieving both behavioral and skill-based goals.
  • Collect and monitor data on client behavior and skill development, ensuring a high degree of accuracy. Provide feedback and suggestions to BCBAs for potential modifications to treatment plans.
  • Deliver one-on-one behavioral interventions to clients in various settings (home, school, clinic, or community) and maintain high standards of care.
  • Implement advanced behavior reduction techniques
  • Maintain open lines of communication with BCBAs, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure a comprehensive approach to client care.
  • Stay updated on the latest practices in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) through ongoing training and professional development. Maintain compliance with BACB ethical standards.
  • Complete detailed and accurate session notes, ensuring timely submission of required documentation. Report progress, challenges, and improvements to the supervising BCBA.
  • Assist in addressing challenging behaviors and managing crises when necessary, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred.
  • RBT certification with a minimum of 2 years of experience in applied behavior analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance.
  • Proficiency in data collection software.
  • A positive attitude, solution‑focused mindset, and the ability to take initiative.
Work environment

Physical demands
  • Prolonged periods of sitting (often on the floor with clients), bending, squatting, standing, running, blocking undesired behavior, consistently remaining within arm’s reach of clients throughout sessions, attention to detail, multitasking, quick decision‑making.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Travel Required
  • Up to 25% travel to assigned local Centers that InBloom currently provides services in, or will be providing services in, in the future.
