Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Senior Regional Philanthropy Officer to support the North and Central Florida Region, based in Orlando. This senior role will manage a donor portfolio and drive annual revenue targets.

Frequent travel within the region is required to meet with donors, sponsors, and prospects, advancing major gift campaigns and donor engagement. You will develop strategies, build relationships with foundations, and collaborate with leadership to create fundraising plans,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum seven years of sales and/or fundraising experience required.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of MS Office and fundraising database systems (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, Power BI).
• Travel: Frequent travel within the region is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute fundraising strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift prospects.
• Build and maintain relationships with foundation donors and align goals with the organization's mission.
• Collaborate with leadership to create comprehensive fundraising plans and materials.
• Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations to donors and prospects.
• Track progress toward fundraising goals and document donor interactions and contributions.
