Job summary

Horner & Shifrin, Inc. seeks a full-time Regional Manager to lead the Water Business Unit.

This role requires 10+ years of experience in environmental engineering and project leadership, with responsibility for client interface, proposals, and team management. We offer a comprehensive compensation package with a salary range of $115,000 to $190,000, plus a benefits program including flexible schedules, casual dress, domestic partner benefits, paid parental leave, and an Employee Stock Ownership

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer.
• Experience in water, sewer, and wastewater design.
• Ability to lead, manage and schedule staff to meet project needs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of design software packages including HEC-RAS, XP-SWMM, EPA-SWMM, SewerGems, InfoWater, WaterGems, BioWin, etc.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Recognize and initiate business development opportunities.
• Perform and check environmental engineering calculations.
• Network with clients to position for and develop work opportunities.
• Interface directly with clients on projects.
• Prepare contract proposals and cost estimates.
• Prepare and check environmental construction drawings.
• Complete assigned tasks within a project.
• Manage all project elements including budget, schedule, and quality to achieve profitability and client satisfaction.
• Oversee production of project documents (reports, drawings, specifications).
• Manage project teams comprising various engineering and environmental discipline specialists and subconsultants.
