Duties

The Tsui Group is seeking a qualified and experienced candidate in educational facility construction projects to serve as a Senior Regional Construction Scheduler for a large educational client within Los Angeles County. The duties include:

  • Reporting directly to the Sr Construction Manager for Scheduling and Estimating, providing updates and reports for upper management to meet KPIs.
  • Supervising Project Schedulers to ensure project timelines are met, and interfacing with OARs, Senior Project Managers, site staff, and contractors regarding CPM schedules, scope, and budget.
  • Recommending staffing needs and improvements to executive staff.
  • Developing and maintaining program schedules, identifying relationships, milestones, and constraints.
  • Interpreting detailed construction drawings and understanding work scope.
  • Reviewing contractor baseline schedules, verifying scope and sequence, and providing detailed feedback.
  • Performing QA/QC on schedule submissions, reviewing critical path, resource loading, and schedule content.
  • Conducting schedule Time Impact Analysis for change orders and negotiating delays with OARs and contractors.
  • Reading drawings to determine scope inclusion and contract terms for time extensions.
  • Performing Critical Path and Earned Value analyses.
  • Monitoring site progress and providing reports to management.
  • Communicating effectively with contractors and attending schedule meetings.
  • Performing regular QA/QC reviews and bi-monthly schedule updates.
  • Preparing reports as directed by management.
Requirements

Minimum Experience: At least 8 years in Construction Scheduling for an Owner or General Contractor, preferably in educational or public works projects.
Proficiency in Primavera (latest version) and MS Office Suite.

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management, or equivalent experience with additional years of relevant work.
