First Student is seeking a Sr Regional Accountant to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis across regions. The role focuses on closes, reconciliations, accruals, and management accounts, requiring GAAP knowledge and attention to detail.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s in Accounting and at least five years in a similar environment, with proficiency in Excel and strong organizational skills. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 5 years experience, preferably in transportation or service industries with multiple locations.
• Knowledge of GAAP.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, Data validation).
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize effectively.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information.
• Ability to travel up-to 10%.

Mansioni

• Support monthly, quarterly, half-year, and year-end closes, including journal entries, balance-sheet reconciliations, accruals, and maintenance of management accounts.
• Provide support for general-ledger reconciliations, verify data accuracy and correct errors.
• Collect data from field and regional personnel and maintain accrual balances.
• Assist in schedules and commentary for operating results and cash-flow reports.
• Maintain records for profit and loss, taxes, liabilities, and assets.
• Prepare special financial reports by analyzing account information and trends.
• Operate with a continuous improvement mindset.
