Job summary

Heatcraft Refrigeration is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Laboratory Technician to support testing, evaluation, troubleshooting, and development of refrigeration systems in a laboratory setting. You will independently set up and maintain test systems while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

The role requires substantial HVAC/R hands-on experience, strong knowledge of refrigeration components, controls, electrical systems, and data collection.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in HVAC, Refrigeration, Mechanical Technology, Electrical Technology, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, monitor, and maintain refrigeration and HVAC/R test equipment.
• Support product development, performance testing, validation, and investigative projects.
• Install, modify, and repair refrigeration and HVAC/R systems, components, and instrumentation.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration system issues independently.
• Collect, analyze, and document test data and observations.
• Assist engineers in developing test procedures and executing laboratory test plans.
• Ensure laboratory equipment is calibrated, maintained, and operating safely.
• Maintain compliance with laboratory safety procedures and environmental regulations.
• Support facility and laboratory HVAC/R systems as needed.
• Provide technical recommendations regarding equipment operation, test setup improvements, and troubleshooting solutions.
