Job summary

Wind Creek Hospitality is seeking a Maintenance Technician II – Refrigeration & Kitchen Tech to perform routine and extensive preventive maintenance on building systems and commercial kitchen equipment.

The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and testing refrigeration and cooking equipment, maintaining records, and following codes. Applicants should have high school diploma/GED, relevant certificates, and 3+ years of property maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, or enrolled to complete within six months from start date.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license.
• Must have completed at least two maintenance certificates such as CFESA, EPA Section 608, NATE, CCST, NFPA96, NFPA1.
• Must have at least three years of general commercial property maintenance experience.
• Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Willing to work odd and irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must obtain and maintain an Occupational License pursuant to the Illinois Gaming Act.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repair on commercial foodservice equipment including refrigeration, cooking, beverage equipment and dish machines.
• Troubleshoot, repair and perform maintenance on equipment and test electrical circuits.
• Record faults and time on work orders in Hotsos.
• Follow all applicable safety standards, codes, and clean work areas.
• Assist with renovations and maintenance of buildings; repair plaster and drywall; paintings.
