Job summary

Beyond Meat is seeking a Refrigeration & HVAC Technician for its plant in Devault, PA. The role focuses on mechanical and electrical maintenance of commercial HVAC systems, with collaboration with production to boost efficiency and reduce downtime.

The technician will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental guidelines. OCR and EH&S practices are emphasized within a food manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or suitable equivalent.
• 5+ years experience as an HVAC technician.
• Possesa Type 4 UniversalEPA certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.
• Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.
• Ammonia experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults on HVAC systems, including defrosting evaporators.
• Test setups for air or gas leaks using specialized pressure gauges.
• Check refrigerant levels and recharge systems according to SOPs and EPA guidelines.
• Maintain and repair production equipment; complete work orders.
• Maximize OEE and drive continuous improvement and safety.
• Operate power tools and equipment; adhere to safety policies.
