Job summary

Fresh Healthy Habits is seeking a Senior Refrigeration & HVAC Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems within our production facility. You will ensure temperature-controlled environments operate reliably to protect food safety and product quality.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of commercial HVAC/refrigeration maintenance experience, EPA certification preferred, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; HVAC technical certification or vocational training preferred
• 3+ years of experience in commercial HVAC or refrigeration maintenance
• EPA Certification or HVAC licensing preferred
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration systems, electrical controls, and mechanical components
• Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair HVAC system failures efficiently
• OSHA safety standards and refrigeration safety protocols understanding
• English and Spanish bilingualism preferred, not required
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders in production environments

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and servicing of HVAC and refrigeration systems
• Troubleshoot and repair heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment
• Monitor and maintain temperature-controlled environments required for production
• Inspect and maintain compressors, condensers, evaporators, fans, and duct systems
• Identify potential system issues and perform repairs to prevent production disruptions
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation for all HVAC work performed
• Work with maintenance, production, and facility teams to ensure proper environmental conditions
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, food safety regulations, and company safety standards
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe, organized condition
• Communicate effectively when coordinating with staff
