The position acts as deputy to the Refinery Senior Finance Manager, with exposure across strategy, operations, and performance, and requires strong cross-functional collaboration to unlock sustainable value.

Qualifications

Experience in planning, analysing, or managing performance to support business goals.
Strong commercial and economic understanding; able to develop business cases and evaluate investments.
Experience managing senior partners in complex matrix environments.
Broad understanding of how processes connect to deliver outcomes and enable decisions.
Refinery exposure preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

Support margin, cost, and capital efficiency improvements through structured interventions.
Lead vulnerabilities and opportunities processes to frame leadership decisions.
Ensure end-to-end value optimization across functions, avoiding siloed metrics.
Act as trusted partner, managing relationships with performance and budget holders.
Represent Finance at key decisions: Cost, Capex, GM steercos; enable value-driven discussions.
