Job summary

Marathon Martinez Renewable Facility in Martinez, California is seeking a Senior/Lead Operations Turnaround Coordinator to ensure site compliance with the operations turnaround planning process. The role supports TAR and outages with a Monday–Thursday, 10-hour day schedule and 6 AM–4 PM core hours.

The position may be Grade 12 or 13, with compensation commensurate with experience. Travel is limited and relocation may be available. Posted through Sept 14, 2026.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED and at least 7 years of refinery operations experience including 1 year in TAR/Outage coordination, planner, or supervisor.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365: Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Must be able to wear PPE in the refinery and pass a hair drug test and physical.

Responsibilities

• Ensures site compliance with the operations turnaround planning process across all area teams.
• Coordinates planning and execution activities between Operations, Maintenance, Products Control, Technical Service and Turnaround groups, ensuring POP milestones are met.
• Represents site on the Operations TAR Planning Network and shares best practices in TAR planning.
• Trains and mentors planners throughout the planning and execution process.
• Develops, maintains, and updates the site POP.
• Coordinates Critical Path Value Optimization training and workshops for Critical Path units.
• Coordinates and leads the development of the refinery-wide Sequence Plan with Operations and Products Control groups.
• Establishes contractor requirements for turnaround shutdown and startup activities and reviews scope with contractors.
