You will drive modernization, lifecycle management, and cybersecurity compliance while mentoring engineers and coordinating with IT/OT teams.

The role emphasizes proactive maintenance, predictive analytics, and development of a multi-year automation roadmap to improve reliability and safety in a major sugar refining operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Controls/Automation engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of controls/automation experience in refining/manufacturing environments.
• Experience upgrading industrial control systems, instrumentation, networks, and automation infrastructure.
• Experience leading capital projects from concept through startup and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Serve as site technical authority for controls, instrumentation, and process automation.
• Lead system upgrades, modifications, and testing per standards and safety requirements.
• Mentor engineers and cross-functional teams; promote standardization and knowledge sharing.
• Own and govern the controls MOC process; ensure cybersecurity and documentation compliance.
