Job summary

Community Services and Employment Training (CSET) seeks a Senior Program Specialist to oversee CRV, e-waste, tires, used oil, and mattresses processing at Legacy Processing Facility. You will mentor Corps Members, ensure safety compliance, and coordinate with the Assistant Director on operational matters.

The role requires driving routes, sorting materials, operating balers/loaders, and maintaining logs while supporting a safe, efficient work environment.

Qualifications

• Senior level role requiring experience in waste handling and safety training.
• Ability to mentor and train Corps Members on the job.
• Knowledge of CalRecycle, DTSC and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect trucks prior to routes to ensure safe operation.
• Drive and follow routes through residential, business, and industrial areas.
• Operate equipment that compresses collected refuse.
• Sort and track materials according to recycling requirements.
• Record logs of recycled materials per SCC-CSET and CalRecycle.
