Job summary

Qualifications

  • Experience analyzing data, preparing reports, and explaining findings to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to conduct site visits, waste audits, and facility tours.

Sustainability Specialist

Salary: $70,304/year

CR&R is seeking a Sustainability Specialist to support municipal compliance, recycling programs, and community outreach efforts. This role blends data analysis, public education, and relationship management to help cities and customers meet sustainability goals.

What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science, or a related field

  • Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable engaging with city staff, customers, and community stakeholders
  • Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and clearly explain findings to non-technical audiences
  • Comfortable conducting site visits, waste audits, and facility tours
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for meetings and site visits
