Job summary

Saildrone is seeking a Recruiter to join the People team in Alameda, CA. You will source, attract, and engage top talent across technical and professional disciplines to meet current and future needs.

The team focuses on scaling the global workforce for national security and defense operations, leveraging AI-assisted outreach and robust candidate relationships. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, plus 3+ years of in-house recruiting, are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of in-house recruiting experience, startup experience preferred.
• Proficient sourcing for engineering roles (hardware, production, operations).
• Hands-on with ATS (Greenhouse preferred) and sourcing platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter.
• Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, HRIS tools (ADP a plus) and interest in AI tools to speed workflows.
• Demonstrated systems thinking and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with hiring managers across departments to define staffing needs and job specs.
• Proactively source, attract, and engage candidates via AI platforms, social media, referrals, and talent pools.
• Screen resumes and qualifications with hiring teams.
• Conduct initial screenings and interviews to assess fit and experience.
• Coordinate interviews and manage candidate communications through the lifecycle.
• Maintain data hygiene in the ATS and track recruiting metrics.
• Refine recruiting workflows and continuously improve processes.
• Deliver a high-touch, timely candidate experience.
• Promote Saildrone’s employer brand using AI-powered outreach.
