Job summary

General Intuition in New York City is seeking a recruiting leader to design and run our end-to-end hiring for frontier AI researchers and engineers. This in-person role partners with research and engineering leaders to identify, engage, and win top talent for world-model and embodied intelligence initiatives.

You will shape processes, leverage AI-assisted recruiting tools, and build long-term talent pools while elevating General Intuition and Medal's employer brand in NYC's tech and research

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in full life cycle technical recruiting for AI/research teams.
• Experience hiring frontier AI researchers, engineers, and technical staff in ML/ robotics.
• Strong technical aptitude to evaluate software, data engineering, and ML qualifications.
• Passion for AI's potential and engagement with research communities.
• Interest in building systems for recruiting automation or AI-assisted workflows.
• Existing network in NYC's technical and research community.

The Role

You will build the talent function alongside our Head of Talent and own the full recruiting cycle end to end, from sourcing strategy through close. You’ll help design the processes, tools, and programs that the rest of the talent team will run on.

You’ll partner directly with our research and engineering leaders to identify, engage, and win the people who will define what we build next: frontier AI researchers, technical staff, and engineers working on frontier problems in world models and embodied intelligence.

This is an in-person role based in our New York City HQ.

What You'll Do

• Build the talent function alongside our Head of Talent by designing, implementing, and running recruiting processes and programs including interview processes, targeted recruiting campaigns, relationships with industry leaders, and long-term talent pools

• Own and execute long-term strategies to identify, engage, and recruit the world’s leading and emerging frontier AI researchers, technical staff, and engineers working at the frontier of machine learning

• Use the latest technology - especially AI agents - to speed up and reduce friction across the talent function, from data-driven sourcing to automated outreach sequences, scheduling, note-taking, and feedback collection

• Partner with hiring managers and interviewers to go deep on hiring needs, team matching, and required qualifications, and continuously iterate on the interview process

• Manage and optimize a stellar candidate experience throughout the hiring process, and play a significant role in selling and winning the candidate

• Enhance the employer brands of General Intuition and Medal within the technical, research, and science communities, in particular in NYC

• Identify, attend, and organize in-person talent events, both external and our own, to source leading talent, build our employer brand, and build long‑term relationships with key people in the field

• Get creative: Find unusual experimental high‑alpha ideas and execute on them to find and win talent where others are not playing

What We're Looking For

• Have 5+ years of experience in full life cycle technical recruiting supporting technical, AI, and/or research teams

• Have experience hiring frontier AI researchers, technical staff, and engineers working on other frontier problems (from LLMs to multimodal AI to robotics)

• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and evaluate technical qualifications across software engineering, data engineering, and machine learning

• Have a passion for AI's potential to positively impact the world, and proactively learn and stay up to date on current technologies by interacting with research communities

• Want to build something: you’re experimental with creative recruiting ideas and open to building systems for recruiting automation, sourcing analytics, or AI‑assisted recruiting workflows

• Bring an existing network in the NYC technical and research community
