Location: Woodbridge, NJ
Schedule: Primarily onsite, with flexibility for a hybrid schedule of 2-3 days onsite
Employment Type: Long-Term Contract (12 Months) with Potential for Permanent Hire

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Recruiter to support recruiting initiatives across engineering, logistics, shipping, manufacturing, and service-oriented industries. This is a 12-month contract opportunity with the potential to transition into a permanent position.

The ideal candidate brings at least 8 years of talent acquisition experience, with a strong background in proactive sourcing and filling niche, hard-to-fill positions. We are looking for a strategic, hands-on recruiter who understands specialized talent markets, can effectively engage candidates and senior‑level stakeholders, and brings a continuous improvement mindset to the recruiting process.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruiting and proactive sourcing for positions across engineering, logistics, shipping, manufacturing, and service-oriented environments.
• Identify, attract, and engage qualified candidates for specialized and hard-to-fill roles.
• Utilize LinkedIn Recruiter, advanced Boolean searches, X-ray search techniques, and other sourcing tools to identify and engage passive candidates.
• Develop talent pipelines, market maps, competitor research, and targeted sourcing strategies.
• Build strong relationships with hiring managers and key stakeholders to understand hiring needs and deliver qualified talent.
• Monitor sourcing effectiveness, candidate engagement, and recruiting metrics to continuously improve results.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitor talent pools, and emerging talent markets.
• Identify opportunities to streamline recruiting processes and implement sustainable improvements to sourcing and candidate engagement strategies.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience, with significant expertise in proactive sourcing and specialized recruiting.
• Proven success recruiting across engineering, logistics, shipping, manufacturing, industrial, infrastructure, or service-oriented environments.
• Experience recruiting for hard-to-fill positions within construction, capital projects, energy, ports/terminals, or similar industries is highly desirable.
• Advanced LinkedIn Recruiter proficiency, including Boolean search, X-ray techniques, Talent Insights, and effective InMail outreach.
• Demonstrated ability to build talent pipelines, conduct market mapping, and develop competitor intelligence.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to partner effectively with hiring managers and senior leadership.
• A proactive, analytical approach with a genuine interest in continuous improvement.
• Must reside within commuting distance of the office. Preference is for five days onsite, with flexibility for a hybrid schedule of 2-3 days onsite and the remainder remote.
