Job summary

Mecklenburg County Park & Recreation seeks a Sr Recreation Specialist for Hickory Grove Recreation Center. The role oversees planning, implementing, and supervising a range of recreation and leisure activities for diverse age groups, including after-school programs, athletics, summer camps, and events.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of related experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Park and Recreation Administration, Health and Physical Education, or a related field.
• Requires CPR/First Aid and a valid NC or SC Driver’s License; County driving privileges.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervision of activities in a recreation center or park facility.
• Develop, evaluate, and lead programs and activities.
• Provide customer service and handle funds for information, registrations, rentals.
