Job summary

Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation is seeking a Sr Recreation Facility Manager to oversee the Northern Regional Recreation Center. You will report to the Recreation Manager and supervise all facility staff, with responsibilities across programming, marketing, administration and maintenance.

Required is at least six years in recreation programming, plus supervisory experience, a Bachelor’s in Recreation Administration or related field, and a valid NC or SC driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Six years of experience in recreation programming or related field.
• One year of supervisory experience or completion of a supervisory training program.
• Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Administration, Park and Recreation or related field.
• Valid North Carolina or South Carolina driver’s license.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage program and customer service staff, programs and maintenance; ensure high-quality service.
• Establish and maintain partnerships with agencies and community groups for effective recreation plans.
• Manage contracts with agencies, vendors and instructors.
• Oversee budget planning, implementation and tracking against revenue and expense goals.
• Monitor facility revenue from admissions, passes, rentals and programs; optimize operations.
• Provide leadership and staff development; coordinate scheduling and resource allocation.
