Job summary

Mercury is seeking a Senior Financial Data Reconciliation Analyst to operationalize and scale reconciliation across banking partners and internal systems. You will lead design and delivery of end-to-end reconciliations, develop data transformations, and monitor issues with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, and Finance.

You will mentor analysts, help shape the reconciliation roadmap, and support month‑end close and audits.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience working with complex transactional and financial data in fintech or financial services.
• Experience with reconciliation, settlement, payment operations, or accounting.
• Strong analytical skills with experience resolving discrepancies.
• Familiarity with banking payment rails and card networks.
• Experience building monitoring or BI dashboards (Looker/Tableau/Omni).
• Experience mentoring other analysts and leading cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end reconciliations for new and existing products and funds flows, setting standards.
• Develop and maintain data transformations and matching rules for scalable reconciliation.
• Monitor and investigate exceptions, perform root-cause analyses, and coordinate fixes.
• Build monitoring, alerting, and reporting for reconciliation risks and trends.
• Define requirements for new products and funds flows with cross-functional partners.
• Support month-end close and audit readiness with reconciliation analyses and documentation.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives and mentor other analysts.
• Support audits, regulatory reporting, or financial-control testing.
