HOERBIGER Service Inc. is seeking an experienced Reciprocating Compressor Specialist to join the shop's service and repair team in the Houston area.

You will serve as the technical expert for repairs, overhauls, troubleshooting, and inspections, guiding mechanics and collaborating with engineering and operations. Qualifications

• Minimum of 15-20 years combined shop and field experience with reciprocating compressors.
• Extensive teardown, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and reassembly experience.
• Strong understanding of compressor components, measurements, clearances, and repair practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Experience with major compressor brands (Ariel, Dresser-Rand, Cooper-Bessemer, Clark, Ingersoll Rand, Worthington) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical specialist and primary resource for reciprocating compressor repairs and overhauls.
• Assemble, disassemble, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair reciprocating compressors and related components.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to mechanics and shop personnel.
• Support root cause analysis, repair recommendations, and troubleshooting efforts.
• Work collaboratively with Engineering, Customer Service, Purchasing, and Operations to ensure successful project execution.
• Ensure service documentation, inspection reports, and repair photographs are accurately entered into company systems.
• Assist with identifying, tagging, labeling, and tracking parts throughout the repair process.
• Promote safe work practices and adherence to company quality standards.
• Share industry knowledge and best practices to help strengthen the overall capabilities of the shop team.
