Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a senior software engineer for the Air & Missile Defense Radar team to design and implement advanced tracking algorithms and high-performance real-time software that process radar data across many targets. You will work with radar engineers and system architects to deliver end-to-end solutions for defense systems.

The role requires extensive experience in C++/Python, strong mathematics background, and the ability to obtain a U.S. Top Secret SCI clearance.

Qualifications

8 years of relevant experience and a technical degree or equivalent experience.
Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
Solid foundation in linear algebra, probability, statistics, and/or differential equations.
Fundamentals of software engineering: design patterns, testing, version control, debugging.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance.

Responsibilities

Design and implement advanced tracking algorithms for air and missile threats, including multi-target tracking and discrimination.
Develop real-time software systems that process radar data and track dozens to hundreds of targets.
Build modeling and simulation environments to validate tracking performance and identify improvements.
Collaborate with radar engineers and system architects to integrate tracking into defense systems.
Optimize tracking software for performance-critical environments with millisecond-scale latency.
Communicate technical concepts and trade-offs to cross-functional teams and leadership.
Participate in customer demonstrations and field tests to ensure operational effectiveness.
