Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Principal Systems Modeling Simulation Engineer to join our on-site team in El Segundo, CA. You will work within Systems Engineering to develop mathematical algorithms and software for real-time and constructive simulations of sensors and platforms.

The role emphasizes leadership in technical reviews, stakeholder communication, and solving complex problems in a rapid prototyping environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university with 5 years of relevant experience, or 3 years with a Master’s, or 0 years with a PhD.
• Experience with signals processing, radar systems, and electronics systems performance analysis, test or integration.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, C/C++, Python or related languages.
• Experience in modeling and simulation of radars, missiles, IADS, air/space platforms.
• Active DoD Secret clearance or higher to start, ability to obtain Top-Secret with SAP/PAR.

Responsibilities

• Development of mathematical algorithms for mode/sensor implementation.
• Develop software to model behavior of systems in real-time and constructive simulations.
• Solicit input from stakeholders, synthesize data, and communicate results to leadership.
• Technical team leadership and participation in peer reviews across the product lifecycle.
