This role emphasizes advanced engineering principles, industry engagement, and a strong focus on safety, reliability, and customer service. The position may require extended hours to support energy delivery emergencies.

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge and ability to apply problem solving approaches and engineering theory.
• Knowledge of engineering designs, principles and practices.
• 8+ years of experience in specific areas of engineering and recognized industry expert.
• Advanced knowledge of regulations, guides, standards, codes, methods, practices, and advanced engineering principles.
• Advanced knowledge of latest technologies for diverse installation types of services.
• Industry expert who participates or leads industry committees or has published technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Performs consultation and training on highly complex and unique technical areas requiring advanced engineering principles.
• Evaluates complex technical issues requiring specialized knowledge and recommends actions.
• Leads the implementation of large specialized technical projects and/or teams to develop studies, proposals and designs.
• Participates in technical and industry societies and committees to stay updated on new technologies.
• Participates in department planning, provides budget recommendations and monitors performance.
• Acts as an expert witness and provides expert opinions for regulatory or legal proceedings.
