Actalent is seeking an experienced software engineer in Webster Groves, MO to design and develop real-time software handling high-volume telemetry and video data. You will contribute to distributed system architectures, ensure scalability, and lead a junior team while writing production-ready C++ and C# code.

You will collaborate with onsite engineers and customers, participate in biweekly meetings, and adapt to evolving technologies.

Qualifications

• Minimum seven years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in C++ and C# for production-quality code.
• Experience with real-time or near-real-time systems handling high-volume telemetry.
• Hands-on with real-time messaging and distributed systems (ROS/DDS or similar).
• Strong system architecture experience for distributed real-time systems.
• Demonstrated technical leadership while coding actively.
• Ability to communicate with customers and stakeholders in recurring meetings.
• Willingness to learn new languages and technologies for the project.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop real-time software processing high-volume telemetry and control data.
• Build and optimize pipelines for high-speed sensor, telemetry, and video data.
• Contribute to system architecture for scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Provide production-ready code in C++ and C# and ensure clean, testable code.
• Support full SDLC from requirements to deployment.
• Collaborate with onsite engineers and product stakeholders on requirements.
