Job summary

SpaceX in Redmond, WA seeks a SR. SOFTWARE ENGINEER for the Starlink program to build and optimize real-time, low-latency software that enables optimal beam management on a global satellite network.

You will lead architecture reviews, develop prototypes, and create deployment and testing tools across virtualized hardware, real hardware-in-the-loop, and on-orbit environments. Strong C/C++ and assembly skills are required along with a STEM degree and extensive software experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or STEM and 5+ years of professional software development experience; OR 7+ years of professional software development experience in lieu of a degree.
• Development experience in assembly, C, or C++.

Responsibilities

• Develop highly reliable, real-time software that determines beams to form for best user experience in low-latency satellite network.
• Participate in and lead architecture, design, and code reviews.
• Develop prototypes and manage experiments to prove out key design concepts.
• Develop tools for software development and deployment, data analysis and visualization, and test execution across multiple environments.
