Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Simulation Team in El Segundo, CA. You will design, implement, test, and maintain real-time Attitude Control Subsystem models and integrate them into system-level simulators for satellite systems used by government and commercial customers.

You will participate in a rapid, agile CI/CD environment, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-impact simulations and software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• 10+ years’ experience leading Modeling & Simulation Activities and/or Systems Engineering, Software Development and Sustainment Activities
• 5+ years’ experience with modern programming and scripting languages such as C++, Java, JavaScript, Perl, Python, Visual Basic
• 5+ years’ experience developing software models of physical systems and scientific phenomena
• Experience using Git in a Linux environment

Responsibilities

• Executes full life-cycle development activities, including requirements definition and analysis, software architecture, design, coding, unit test, integration, documentation, and formal qualification
• Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments
• Interfaces with a technically diverse user community and a multi-disciplined integrated product team (systems and software)
• Works independently and collaboratively to complete trade studies and detailed designs
• Leads and deliver innovative, high-impact solutions to complex technical challenges
