Uber is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Eater Real Time Pricing team to shape surge pricing and forecasting that keep Uber's delivery marketplace healthy and responsive. You will own complex, high‑impact problems, design real-time pricing systems, and partner with data scientists to productionize models.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional software engineering experience in backend, distributed systems, or real-time data processing.
Experience leading multi-quarter projects across teams.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

Lead design and delivery of surge pricing and forecasting workstreams end-to-end.
Set technical direction for real-time pricing systems with high throughput and low latency.
Drive engineering rigor, reviews, and operational excellence.
Partner with data scientists to productionize models.
Mentor engineers and raise architectural standards.
Reduce technical debt while shipping features fast.
