LSEG is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their News Engineering group in New York. This position focuses on evolving the News platform to deliver real-time enriched news to customers. The role offers the chance to deepen expertise in low-latency systems and lead a scrum team while working with modern tools and practices.

Qualifications

• Solid experience with Java and Python on Linux and real‑time systems.
• Practical experience using IP‑based protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTPS, etc).
• Familiarity with unit testing and test‑driven development.
• Understanding of search technology such as Elasticsearch.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and container orchestration.
• Strong problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve services, primarily in Java and Python.
