Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for News Engineering to advance a real-time news delivery platform. You will design and build low-latency services in Java and Python, with strong emphasis on performance and observability in a cloud-native environment.

In a globally distributed scrum team, you will own critical services from architecture to production support, and contribute to DevOps through automated deployment and on-call reliability.

As a senior software engineer in the News team at LSEG, you will build and evolve services, primarily in Java and Python, with a strong emphasis on performance, observability, and continuous improvement in a cloud-native environment. Learn how structured data and News industry standards enable fast, reliable news delivery while simplifying problems for customers. Collaborate in a scrum team, crafting solutions and delivering new features. Own the design and delivery of critical services, from architecture decisions through to production support, with autonomy to influence technical direction. Help automate deployment, upgrades, and maintenance using modern DevOps techniques.
