Job summary

Capgemini in NYC, NY seeks a Java Engineer with 14+ years of Core Java experience to design and develop real-time, low-latency, multi-threaded server-side applications. The role requires deep knowledge of Java 8+ features and concurrency utilities, plus strong database querying skills.

You will work on backend systems using J2EE, Spring, and web services, ensuring performance and scalability in a global Capgemini environment.

Qualifications

• Core Java Developer with 14+ years of experience
• Real-time, low-latency multi-threaded server-side development
• Core Java 1.8+ features (Executor, Generics, etc.)
• Experience with collections, HashMap, concurrency packages and ArrayList
• Proficiency in Database Management Systems (SQL Server/Sybase/Oracle) and querying
• Knowledge of J2EE, Spring, and web services

Responsibilities

• Design and develop real-time, low-latency server-side applications using Core Java 8+
• Build and optimize multi-threaded components and concurrency utilities
• Implement and optimize database interactions with SQL Server, Sybase or Oracle
• Apply J2EE, Spring and web services in backend services
• Ensure code quality, performance and scalability for production systems
• Collaborate with Capgemini teams across locations on delivery
