The role is focused on building and optimising high-performance Java systems operating at significant scale, with a strong emphasis on ultra-low latency, JVM performance and distributed systems.

Key areas:

• Low-latency / high-throughput systems
• Concurrency, lock-free & wait-free programming
• Distributed systems & distributed caching
• Trade processing, positions & real-time risk

Ideal candidates will have strong experience building performance-critical Java systems and a genuine interest in solving complex engineering challenges within a trading environment.
