Job summary

RTX in El Segundo, CA is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Section/Technical Lead with deep knowledge of real-time embedded systems, advanced algorithms, and system-level integration. You will manage software staffing, performance management, and maintain consistent execution across multiple fast-moving software baselines.

Coordinate with systems and cross-functional leads to support integration, verification, and delivery of multiple simultaneous efforts.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science/Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) required.
• Experience implementing real‑time algorithms and validating embedded SW/HW integration.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical contributor and Section Lead for software staffing, performance, and delivery across multiple baselines.
• Review code, validate algorithm behavior, and promote engineering discipline with clear rationale.
• Coordinate with systems and cross‑functional leads to support integration, verification, and delivery of concurrent efforts.
• Manage section staffing, workload balancing, and workforce planning to maintain a strong engineering organization.
• Coach and develop engineers to grow talent and maintain high engineering capabilities.
